What it is

Acupuncture involves inserting very thin, sterile needles at specific points on the body. It's thought to influence pain signaling and blood flow in the treated area, and it's one of the tools we bring in when a patient's presentation calls for it.

What to expect

Most patients describe a dull ache or mild pressure at the needle site rather than sharp pain. Sessions are typically quiet and low-key — a chance for your body to settle while the needles are in place, usually for fifteen to twenty minutes.

Who it's for

We're most likely to suggest acupuncture for muscular tension, chronic low-grade pain, or as a lower-impact option for patients who want to avoid more aggressive manual therapy for a period.
