What it is
Chiropractic adjustment is a hands-on technique where a precise, controlled force is applied to a joint that isn't moving the way it should. The goal is to restore normal joint mechanics, which can reduce pain and improve function in the area.
What to expect
Every adjustment starts with an assessment — we're checking which joints are restricted and whether that's connected to what's bothering you. Not every visit looks the same, because not every restriction is the same. You may hear a popping sound during some adjustments; that's gas releasing from the joint, not the joint "cracking into place," and its presence or absence doesn't indicate whether the adjustment worked.
Who it's for
Adjustment is often the starting point for back pain, neck pain, joint stiffness, and many mechanical complaints. We'll let you know during your consult whether it's the right fit, or whether another modality should lead instead.
What we check for
- Which joints are moving less than they should
- Whether that restriction lines up with your symptoms
- How you're responding, visit to visit
