What it is
Radial Shockwave Therapy (RSWT) delivers acoustic pressure waves through the skin to stimulate a healing response in stubborn, chronic soft-tissue injuries — cases where the tissue needs a fresh stimulus to kickstart repair.
What to expect
You'll feel a series of rapid pulses at the treatment site. It's not painless, but most patients tolerate it well, and sessions typically run under fifteen minutes. We start at a lower intensity and adjust based on how you respond. Some soreness in the treated area for a day or two afterward is normal.
Who it's for
RSWT comes up most often for plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, Achilles tendinopathy, and other chronic tendon complaints that haven't improved with rest alone.
How it fits into your plan
Shockwave is rarely used on its own — it's usually paired with guided exercise and, where relevant, adjustment. We reassess at your next visit to decide whether to continue, adjust intensity, or move to a different tool.
